hello.
its been a while. it feels like so much has happened since i last wrote to you all properly! i recorded a song with The Raconteurs, a cover of their song Many Shades Of Black which is used as the b-side of the single! that was so amazing. i just got back from america this week, i did some radio stuff and then got back to New York and did Saturday Night Live with Josh Brolin. but then it turned out Sarah Palin was doing in too, which made the show even bigger than it already was! And much to my surprise the album did a runner to number 1 on itunes!!!! and then an even bigger dream came true on wednesday. i sang with Burt Bacharach at the bbc electric proms!! we did a shirelles cover of baby its you!
its all been a bit too much to take in this year, really. its been so incredible, it feels like about 5 years worth of stuff has been crammed into one. yet this years flown by too! we’re only in october though, so ill leave the remanicing until my next letter!
ive got a couple of london shows coming up before the years out though..
November 20th – Little Noise Sessions at The Union Chapel, i love playing there and its all for a great cause!
and to wrap up 2008 im playing my own special christmas show at The Roundhouse in camden! its gonna be VERY fun!
